Dear colleagues
We invite you to the 2nd Symposium on Freshwater Biology (SOBS) with international participation, which will be held in Zagreb on February 17th 2017 at the Department of Biology, Faculty of Science, University of Zagreb (address: Rooseveltov trg 6, Zagreb, lecture hall BO1).
The symposium is organized by Croatian association of freshwater ecologists (CAFE) in cooperation with the Department of Biology, Faculty of Science, University of Zagreb.
The aim of the symposium is to present current research related to the biology and ecology of freshwater ecosystems, including all aspects of ecology, taxonomy, phylogeny, biodiversity, zoology, botany, protistology, ecotoxicology, and the impact of global change and anthropogenic activity on freshwater ecosystems. The Organizing committee is preparing attractive and informative one-day symposium including oral and poster presentations, as well as coffee breaks and lunch for all the participants. We are pleased to announce two invited plenary lectures during the symposium, given by two eminent guest speakers, dr. Gorazd Urbanič and dr. Simon Vitecek.
Official languages are Croatian and English. Abstracts are prepared in both languages, unless you are non-Croatian speaker, then only English is required.
Registration of the participants and abstract submission will be open from September 16th until December 16th 2016.
Registration fee 200.00 HRK
Registration fee includes: Scientific program, Book of Abstracts, Certificates of attendance, coffee breaks and organised lunch for the participants in a nearby restaurant.
