Instructions for abstract submission
Abstracts may be submitted at the official web site HUSEk, and prepared as regular text in Word, without formatting, and without figures and tables. The maximum length of the abstract is 250 words, but excluding title, authors and institutions. Abstract should contain title, authors’ names and addresses, and methods, results and conclusions of the study.
Official languages of the symposium are Croatian and English. Abstracts will be written in English only.
Please note that the presenting author of each abstract has to register as a participant, or the abstract will not be included in the Book of Abstracts. Also note that abstracts of submitting authors who fail to pay the full registration fee will not be included in the Book of Abstracts.
The Programme and Scientific Committee will review all abstracts with due regard for confidentiality. If an author decides to submit more than one abstract, the Scientific Committee will decide on the number of presentations. The Committee reserves the right to change the type of presentation (oral or poster). Presenting authors will be notified by the Committee of the acceptance of the abstract and the type of presentation.

The presenting author must guarantee that all co-authors agree with the abstract.
Oral presentation
Your oral presentations will be limited to maximum 15 minutes, of which 10 minutes is for presentation and 5 minutes for discussion. Authors are required to comply with the given propositions. Presentations should be delivered on a USB drive in either PowerPoint (.ppt or .pptx) or PDF (.pdf) formats. Please name your file as follows: “Lastname.ppt” (or other extension) and hand it in to the organizers at registration.
The oral presentation can be given in Croatian or English. If the presentation is to be given in Croatian, the presentation must be written in English.
Computer equipment and laser pointer will be provided.
Poster presentation
The maximum area available for each poster will be 120 cm x 90 cm (height x width). Poster authors must stand next to their posters during the poster session, which will take place during the coffee breaks.
Poster presentation must be written in English.
